Booster Pumps

Booster pumps raise water pressure and flow for whole homes, irrigation zones, rainwater/cistern systems, RO/tankless make-up, and light commercial fixtures. Choose compact inline boosters, multi-stage centrifugal sets, or constant-pressure packages with smart drives.

Shop by need

  • Constant-pressure systems (VFD): pump + drive that auto-adjusts speed to hold a target PSI with soft start/stop
  • Multi-stage boosters: high head for sprinklers, long runs, and multi-story buildings
  • Inline domestic boosters: quiet, compact units for whole-home pressure upgrades
  • Jet & shallow-well boosters: draw from tanks or cisterns and boost to fixtures/irrigation
  • Accessories: pressure tanks, switches/transducers, check & relief valves, strainers, unions, and vibration pads

Quick choosing guide

  1. Define the job: whole-home, irrigation, rainwater/cistern, RO feed, or fixture group.
  2. Size for flow & boost: total your required GPM and the pressure gain needed (target outlet PSI minus minimum inlet). Check the pump curve to ensure it meets both at operating point.
  3. Power & connection: verify voltage (115/230V single-phase or 3-phase), amperage, and pipe size (NPT, sweat, or flange).
  4. Control style: choose VFD/constant-pressure for steady PSI and quiet operation; choose on/off with pressure switch + tank for simple duty.
  5. Protection: add inlet strainer, check valve, pressure relief (where required), low-water cutoff, and isolation valves for service.
  6. Noise & placement: mount on a rigid base with pads; consider enclosure or mechanical room for sound control.

Pro tips: Measure inlet pressure at peak demand, add friction loss from pipe/fixtures, and pick a pump that lands in the mid-efficient zone of its curve. For on/off systems, size the pressure tank to reduce short cycling. Follow local code for backflow prevention and thermal expansion. Label valves, keep a spare pressure switch or transducer, and service strainers seasonally.
