Quick choosing tips

  1. Match material & schedule: keep PVC Sch 40/80 consistent across a pressure line; use CPVC for higher temp where required.
  2. Pick the connection type: solvent-weld (slip/socket) for permanent joins; threaded (FNPT/MPT) where serviceability matters.
  3. Use the right sealants: primer + cement for sockets; PTFE tape or thread sealant for NPT threads (no glue on threads).
  4. Check ratings: confirm pressure/temperature and local code for irrigation vs. pool/spa vs. industrial runs.
