Pro tips: Use weather-rated boxes and gel-filled connectors outdoors, seal the top of the canopy (leave the bottom unsealed for drainage), and specify wet-rated fixtures for exposed locations. For 12V installs, size the transformer for total watts + ~20% headroom and keep voltage drop in check.
